Most of the album tracks were made live using speaker in various places as sound source and various microphones as a listener that caught the environment in which Leemajik played with granular synthesis. Sound source for granular synthesis was a piano tuned to 432 Hz. Origins of a listener is a selection of these ambient field recordings that tell the story of a specific human being in a specific place at a specific time.
